I recently had an idea that required me to be able to grab plugin stats directly from WordPress.org and display them in random places throughout a WP site. I know that there are plugins out there that will allow you to do just that, but they are geared more towards displaying the data within posts or pages. I was interested in displaying the data in other areas… Like in the header and possibly...

So I recently had an idea that IMHO doesn’t sound too detrimental, but as we all know… My opinion doesn’t amount to much. So, I’ve decided to run a quick poll to see how you the user would feel about and/or respond to my idea if it were in fact implemented.

Shame on you!
So a while ago I posted up the rules and regs for a contest that I was going to be starting. Apparently, it flew pretty low under the radar because not many people entered. So, thanks to everyone’s comments and especially Ryan’s infinite words of wisdom… I have come to see the err of my ways in terms of posting something which I obviously didn’t know enough about. However, this post could still serve a purpose as a tutorial on how to convert your file_get_contents() commands into cURL.
First, you’ll need to make sure that your host has...

So I’ve been super disappointed with the site’s current “logo”, and finally decided to do something about it. I’ve enlisted the help of a very creative and talented young woman named Jenny Crespo (@LeMinxxx) who really seems to enjoy art, and who’s passion for it really shows in her work. She’s given me FOUR rough draft concepts from which to choose one to...
